FUSION is a collaborative workshop between musicians and circus artists focused on improvisation, listening, and interdisciplinary creation.

Through guided exercises and collective experimentation, participants will explore the relationship between sound, movement, rhythm, space, and physical presence. The workshop creates a space for artists from different disciplines to connect, respond, and compose together in real time. Rather than working toward polished performance, the focus will be on process: discovering how music can influence physical language, how movement can shape sound, and how new forms of communication emerge through improvisation.

Circus practitioners will be invited to explore musicality, timing, and composition beyond technique, while musicians will engage with movement, spatial awareness, and embodied interaction.

What will we explore?

  • Improvisation between sound and movement

  • Rhythm, tension, timing, and silence

  • Non-verbal communication and collective composition

  • Physical approaches to musicality

  • Sonic approaches to movement and circus language

  • Trust, play, and responsiveness in collaborative creation

Who is it for?

Musicians, circus artists, movers, performers, and interdisciplinary creators interested in experimentation and live collaborative processes. No previous experience in improvisation or interdisciplinary work is required — only openness, curiosity, and a willingness to collaborate.
